Warranties & Policies
Original Lenses, original invoice number and original order date must accompany all credit requests.
Requests for credit received beyond three months after original invoice date will not receive credit. All credits will be issued on the lower priced invoices. All warranty claims are limited to one time only during the applicable warranty period, unless otherwise noted. Only one discount or coupon may be applied to a single invoice or monthly statement.
UNCUT & COMPLETE FINISHED JOBS
Coating Warranties
iCoat applied coatings are warranted against cracking, peeling, crazing and minor scratching under normal use from date of original invoice, for a period of:
- Indigo HD, Aura, Stainless LUV, Vivix & DHC Hardcoat: 2 years
- Indigo, Topit & Fusion: 1 year
- Ice & Fusion Ice: 1 year
- HRD Standard Backside Hardcoat: 180 days
• iCoat will provide new lenses and a new coating free of charge.
• Damaged lenses must be returned to iCoat for credit and analysis.
• iCoat will provide a “strip and recoat” free of charge with original invoice number.
• iCoat will provide new lenses and a new coating free of charge.
• Damaged lenses must be returned to iCoat for credit and analysis.
• IC No Fog is applied at customer’s risk and carries no warranty.
Redos
• iCoat will provide a 1 time “no charge” warranty on any complete finished job for 120 days from original invoice date.
• iCoat will provide a 1 time “no charge” warranty for an Rx change, lens or material change on any uncut order for a period of 120 days from original invoice date.
• All other warranty claims for uncut lenses will be eligible to receive a maximum 50% credit for a period of 120 days from original order date.
• All lenses made incorrectly by iCoat will be given 100% credit.
• All new jobs will be billed at full price and applicable credit will be issued upon return of original lenses.
• Any redos due to data errors on phone orders will receive 50% credit.
• iCoat strongly recommends electronic ordering via RxWizard or ordering via fax to help alleviate errors.
• Non-adapt reorders within 120 days of original invoice are eligible for 100% credit, provided that another pair of suitable replacement lenses is ordered.
• All new jobs will be billed at full price and applicable credit will be issued upon return of original lenses.
• If lenses are not yet in process, cancellations can be made free of charge.
• If lenses are already in process or are on special factory order, Rx will be billed with a 50% discount.
P.O.F. / P.O.L.
- All P.O.F. (Patient’s Own Frame) and P.O.L. (Patient’s Own Lens) orders will be processed at customer’s risk.
Drill Warranties
(Complete Finished jobs only)
- iCoat will replace lenses in a drilled rimless or metal groove for starring and/or cracking under normal use from shipping date of original invoice for a period of:
- 60 days on polycarbonate
- 1 year on Trivex, 1.60, 1.66, 1.70 and 1.74 materials.
- iCoat does not warranty CR-39, InstaShades, SunSensors, and Mid-Index 1.54-1.56 for rimless drill or metal groove jobs.
Digital Back-Surfaced Lenses
- A redo for a doctor’s change (Rx change, lens style change, material change) will receive full credit for a period of 60 days from original invoice date.
- Non-adapt reorders within 60 days of original invoice are eligible for 100% credit, provided that another pair of suitable replacement lenses is ordered.
- A redo caused by dispenser’s error (base curve, edging, seg height, PD, frame change, material change, or tint change) will receive 30% credit for a period of 60 days from original invoice date.
CUSTOM COATING JOBS
The following warranties are valid only for jobs with “Enclosed Lenses”
Coating Warranties
Coatings are warranted against cracking, peeling and crazing under normal use from date of original invoice, for a period of:
- Indigo HD, Aura, Stainless LUV, Vivix & DHC Hardcoat: 2 years
- Indigo, Topit & Fusion: 1 year
- Fusion Ice: 30 days
• All eligible warranty claims must include new lenses.
• Warranty is limited to free coating only.
• Warranty also covers minor scratching under normal use.
• iCoat will provide a “strip and recoat” free of charge with original invoice number.
• Any warranty claim for Fusion Ice that is received with new lenses will be billed at 100%.
• All backside hardcoating will be done at customer’s risk and carries no warranty.
Customer Redo
(Not applicable on Fusion Ice orders)
- iCoat will provide a new coating 1 time free of charge, for a period of 90 days, on any doctor Rx change, lens style or material change.
- New lenses received for any other reason will be billed in full.
Tinting
- All custom tints will be processed at customer’s risk.
- iCoat will match tint color as close as possible to tint sample enclosed.
- iCoat is not responsible for replacing tinted lenses that are not accepted due to tint color or density. If lenses are returned due to unacceptable tint, iCoat will tint new lenses again at full price.
STOCK LENSES
Stock Finished Lenses
- Stainless AR stock lenses are warranted against cracking, peeling, crazing and minor scratching under normal use, for a period of 2 years from date of original invoice.
- All new jobs will be billed at full price and applicable credit will be issued upon return of damaged lenses.
- Overstock returns are subject to a restocking fee.
- Special ordered lenses cannot be returned for credit.
- Stock lens returns will be issued full credit within a period of 90 days from date of original invoice.
- No credit will be issued on any customer redo.
